Compliance Assessor (Part Time, 6 month Contract)
Hourly wage range between $25 to 28/hour, depending on experience
Approximately 2-3 day work week
Reports to: QA and Compliance Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC
An exciting opportunity exists for a Part Time Compliance Assessor to join COBS Bread on a 6 month contract averaging 2 to 3 days a week to assess the standards of our Franchised bakeries and provide feedback to our Franchisees and COBS Bread. This position will help ensure continuous improvement of the COBS Bread brand standard and compliance to relevant legislation. The Compliance Assessor will enjoy working autonomously in a dynamic and fast paced environment and holds an important role in ensuring COBS Bread high standards are adhered to by our franchised bakeries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct in-person visits to COBS Bread bakery locations to assess standards using the Five Star assessment process
- Carry-out Five Star compliance assessments in a timely manner every four months
- Compile and maintain all relevant documentation relating to any non-compliant issues identified during the assessment
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to Franchisees and Bakery Operators on the outcome of their assessments
- Maintain relationships and liaise with the Franchisees and Operations Team when resolving issues and responding to inquiries regarding Five Star assessment and standards
- Identify, collaborate and implement continuous improvement to the Five Star process
- Regular travel throughout BC region, possibly Alberta
- Assisting with other duties as assigned
Requirements
What You Bring to the Table:
- 2+ years of experience in applying Food Safety and OHS principles in a retail or food manufacturing environment
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- Knowledge of various compliance frameworks and legislation
- Proven experience in OHS or auditing qualifications or compliance management is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training and maintain professional when resolving issues/conflict
- Ability to motivate and influence Franchisees and internal team members
- Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel).
- A valid driver’s licence
- A valid passport
